GREAT FALLS — Shilo Glen Laplant has been charged after he allegedly broke into a Great Falls business and caused damage to another.

Court documents state that a police officer responded to the H&R Block office at 2112 10th Avenue South (the plaza between Albertsons and Target) on Sunday afternoon for a report of a disturbance.

The caller said that a man - later identified as Laplant - had removed a small table and used it to shatter the glass door of the nearly Cellular Repair store.

The officer found Laplant inside the store and ordered to come out, but he refused. Laplant then walked to the front window and began to remove signs and posters, according to court documents.

After Laplant continued to refuse the officer's commands, the officer used a Taser, and Laplant then complied.

Laplant has been charged with felony burglary and three misdemeanors: criminal mischief, obstructing a peace officer, and disorderly conduct.
