BILLINGS — Police said Tuesday a disturbance or altercation preceded a fatal shooting in Billings on Sunday night.
Lt. Brandon Wooley said in a news release that officers continue to investigate the incident as a homicide, and that no arrests have been made at this point.
"This is not believed to be a random act of violence," Wooley said in the release.
The shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the front yard of a home in the 100 block of South 31st Street.
A 50-year-old Billings man was shot and died a short time later at a hospital. He was identified Tuesday as Micah Aaron Myron.
Wooley said the investigation is ongoing; investigators are talking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video.
