HELENA — Christopher Earl Dustrude, a 33-year old transient who was barred from Broadwater Elementary School on September 12, has been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.
Dustrude appeared in Justice Court on Friday on one felony charge of failure to register as a violent or sexual offender.
Court documents allege Dustrude has been barred from (trespassed) numerous locations, including elementary schools and the Helena carousel.
In 2004, Dustrude pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent involving a girl and a boy, both under the age of 10.
Dustrude’s bond was set at $25,000.
He will make his plea in District Court on October 16th.
