BILLINGS — Taylor Plainbull was arrested early Tuesday in Billings after a stand-off with police; he was wanted in connection with the death of Lenita Goes Ahead of Pryor.

Goes Ahead, 26 years old, was killed in what authorities call an "ambush-style" murder. She was killed in the Blue Creek area near the reservation line. She is the daughter of Carlson "Duke" Goes Ahead, the vice chairman of the Crow tribe. Officials have not yet released specifics about how she died.

The FBI sent out a BOLO alert (Be On the Look-Out) on Sunday, saying Plainbull was considered armed and dangerous.

At about 4:26 a.m. on Tuesday, police officers surrounded the Rodeway Inn in Billings and were engaged in a stand-off with Plainbull.

At 6:38 a.m., the Billings Police Department announced that Plainbull had been taken into custody.
