GREAT FALLS — A grass fire near mile marker 78 on US Highway 89 near Belt threatened several homes on Saturday.
Belt Rural, Sand Coulee Volunteer Fire Department, and Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner's Office responded to the call.
No structures were damaged by the fire, and there were no injuries reported.
The exact cause was undetermined, but was ruled to be not human-caused.
