Great Falls came together on Monday to help one of their police officers after he was injured.
Great Falls Police Detective Art Schalin came down with a sudden and serious illness and two community members decided to host a fundraiser for him.
People enjoyed food while catching up with Schalin at a barbecue at the Great Falls Police Department.
Schalin’s wife Kari said the event was a great “get well” card from the community to her husband.
Schalin is a 28-year veteran of the Great Falls Police Department.
