On this New Year’s Eve, law enforcement have slick road conditions to worry about after the recent snowfall, but that’s not all as they will also be watching for impaired drivers.
New Year’s Eve is one of the more dangerous times to be out on the road because of drunk drivers.
Montana does not have DUI checkpoints, however, there will be increased patrols in some areas.
Local law enforcement encourages everyone who will be drinking to have a plan for getting home safely.
If you are going out to celebrate the New Year in Great Falls, the Cascade County Tavern Association’s Home Safe Program will provide free rides home and even shuttles to other bars.
The program provides hundreds of rides every year.

Cascade County Tavern Association Director John Hayes said their goal is no DUIs in Great Falls this New Year’s Eve.
