Applications are now open for artists who want to participate in the first annual ArtsFest MONTANA in Great Falls next month.

The Great Falls Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Great Falls Montana Tourism and NeighborWorks Great Falls, is launching ArtsFest, which will officially kick off on Friday, August 23.

The goal of this year’s ArtsFest is to install a minimum of three large-scale murals on buildings in downtown Great Falls.

ArtsFest MONTANA will host an artist workshop to show Montana artists how to install large-scale projects and what they should charge for mural work.

The organizations also invite Montana artists to join artist Cameron Moberg during a workshop on Friday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Artists will learn about the tools they need to create large-scale projects. The goal is to have the same artists be involved in future ArtsFest events.

Lunch is included in the non-refundable registration fee of $20. Space is limited for the workshop so artists are advised to register early.

From the artists who apply and attend the workshop, six will be selected to work collaboratively with Moberg on the installation of two new murals.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. Late applications may not be considered.
