GREAT FALLS — The Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in Great Falls is preparing to close permanently.

A sign on the door states that the last day will be Sunday, October 18th.

The store will be open until 9:30 pm today (Tuesday), and from 4 pm until 9:30 pm on Wednesday (October 14). The shop will be open from 11 am until 10 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The store is located along 10th Avenue South in between Target and Albertsons.

Store owners posted a message on social media on Tuesday stating that they made the decision to close "with a heavy heart" and that it was not an easy decision. A sign inside explains that it just got too difficult to stay open during the pandemic.

The social media messaged closed with: "Come see us and get your final scoops of Baskin Robbins ice cream! (or buy some to stick in your freezer)"
