GREAT FALLS — Business is picking back up at Great Falls airport:
Air travel has taken a huge hit due to COVID-19 - but airports are finally starting to see signs of recovery.
John Faulkner, Great Falls International Airport director, said, "We have had more passengers in May than we have had in April, which was almost none, but then even potentially June could double that I think. Things are in an upswing in terms of the overall Airport Authority."
He also said that flights are being added daily: "What we see now is most airlines have some type of reduced seating that they're implementing. And so Delta, in particular, some days we're seeing them send two aircraft for the same flight. And so we already see an increase in the number of airplanes coming through."
