GREAT FALLS — The National Weather Service is forecasting a potentially "historic" winter storm in terms of September snow this weekend.

At higher elevations and along parts of the Rocky Mountain Front, anywhere from one to three feet of snow is expected, beginning late Friday and extending into Sunday. At lower elevations, including Great Falls, snow totals are expected to range anywhere from five inches to 12 inches.

Due to the expected wintry conditions, there are changes to several scheduled events in Great Falls.

United Way of Cascade County's Family Fun Festival has been moved to Lincoln Elementary School (624 27th Street South). The day (9/28), time (10:00am-2:00pm), and activities remain the same. They'll have food, games, a bounce house, and prizes. Click here for more information.

The "Under The Big Sky Buddy Walk" venue has changed. The new venue will be the University of Providence's new Recreation Center at 2412 11th Ave South. Click here for more information.

Great Falls Farmer's Market will not happen on Saturday (September 28); click here for more information.
