GREAT FALLS — A new program called Connections 101 is being offered to help adult learners develop a purpose.
The program is a collaboration is between Great Falls College-MSU, the Great Falls Public Schools' Career & College Readiness Center and the Montana Department of Labor & Industry.
The classes are at Great Falls College where it has about 26 students currently enrolled.
The program is a 14-week commitment that requires consistent attendance, assignment completion, exam benchmarks, and portfolio completion.
Officials says the class is ideal for students who want a career path but aren’t quite sure where to start.
Tammie Hickey, program coordinator, strongly believes in the program: “It’s a really great place to start magical things because people discover a lot of things about themselves. Some come in without the belief that they could ever go to college or without the belief that they are interested in a certain career, and they don’t know how to get there. That’s what this Connection 101 does, it really assists with that.”
This program does not cost participants any money.
The next semester will start in late January; applicants must participate in an orientation and complete a placement test.
