Crash slowing traffic west of Great Falls

GREAT FALLS — Emergency crews are at the scene of a two-car crash along Vaughn South Frontage Road.

The crash was reported to the Montana Highway Patrol at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, and it happened between the I-15 overpass and Sun Prairie.

Initial reports indicate that two people have been injured; the nature and severity of the injuries is not yet known, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Montana Department of Transportation says that both lanes of traffic are blocked.

Drivers should avoid the area if possible as emergency crews work to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is not yet known; the MHP is investigating.
