GREAT FALLS — Just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Great Falls Fire Rescues said that firefighters were at the scene of a crash with injuries near Exit 0 on the southwest side of Great Falls.

They said there was "blocked traffic for several blocks... please avoid the area to allow crews to work safely."

A short time later, Tylin Bates messaged KRTV: "Ten police vehicles and blocking off everything."

At this point, there is no word on how many vehicles or people were involved, or how serious any injuries may be.

We will update you if we get more information.

UPDATE: Several people told KRTV that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, but we have not yet been able to confirm with the Great Falls Police Department; one person said she witnessed it, and that one person was injured, and appeared to be "stable" when leaving the scene.

Shana Nisbet posted on the KRTV Facebook page: "This pedestrian was weaving in and out of traffic up by the on ramp near gas stations! No surprise that they were hit! And dressed in all black so very hard to see."
