GREAT FALLS — The Electric City Water Park hosted its annual "Drool In The Pool" on Thursday.

The event allows dogs of all sizes to splash, swim, and frolic in the water as the water park officially closes the summer season.

“It's been awesome,” said Great Falls City Aquatics Supervisor Patrick King. “It’s like a little doggy utopia. “Close off the filters, let the dogs go wild and call it good."

"We're excited to get the dog out and get her some exercise. The kids are back in school so they're not playing with her so it's just a fun time to enjoy the end of summer evening out at the pool with the family and the dog," said attendee Ben Gilles.

King said this year's event was a great way to end an unprecedented season.

He said he’s grateful for the cooperation and support from visitors over the past few months.

“Revenue was down a little bit but we missed out on a lot of people because most people don't want to wait 2.5 hours to get into the pool but there's plenty of people who did,” he said.
