GREAT FALLS — Great Falls Fire Rescue is at the scene of a structure fire on 2nd Avenue North; several people have also told us that there are numerous police officers at the scene.
The fire was reported at about 10 p.m. on Monday; a second alarm was called at about 10:17 p.m.
The six-unit apartment building is between 10th Street and 11th Street. 2nd Avenue North is blocked in the area.
GFFR asks that people avoid the area to allow crews to work safely.
Reporter Keeley Van Middendorp says the fire was extinguished within about 15 minutes, and crews are continuing mop-up and investigation.
There are no injuries, according to fire officials at the scene. We do not yet know how many people may have been displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
