GREAT FALLS — Dozens of youth who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Great Falls have named several outstanding teachers.

Normally, the teachers are honored with a dinner by the students, but this year they aren't able to do that, so they asked us to help them out by announcing the teachers.

They recognized ten teachers, and they will all receive a plaque thanking them.

We spoke with student Sky Krum who's a junior and attends the church: "For us, education is essential, and we value education and knowledge. Knowledge is the greatest thing you can have, and so we think it's important to recognize and show our appreciation for them."

Krum also explained how much teachers in her life shape who she is today: "Well, teachers are a big part of everybody's lives. They see them every day. And they, I think, for me, my teachers influence the way I act in the people how I talk to people, and they teach me good character". says Krum
