GREAT FALLS — Jah-T'aime restaurant in Great Falls will be closing in a few weeks, as the owners are moving to Florida.
The Jamaican-themed restaurant opened in the Columbus Center on 2nd Avenue North in March 2018. The owners had previously been stationed in Hawaii and operated a food truck, which proved to be very popular.
Reviews on their Facebook page praised the Jamaican cuisine - among them:
- Cory Westmoreland: "I've been to Jamaica and this food is completely authentic and delicious.. Awesome Jerk sauce, and their homemade fruit medley juice is the perfect drink to go along."

The owners posted on Facebook on Wednesday that they are moving to Florida to be closer to family, and thanked the Great Falls community for the support:
Hey Great Falls Family! Man the last two years has been an adventure and we would like to thank all of you for your overwhelming support!! It is with great sadness though, that we are announcing that on March 28, 2020, we will be closing the restaurant. my wife has reached the end of her Air Force career and we will be moving to Florida to be closer to family! You all are family too though, so we hope this won’t be goodbye. When you are in Florida send us a shout out...we may cook for you 😉! Again, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS SUPPORTING US...God bless!!!!
