GREAT FALLS — A Great Falls business celebrates a milestone - Porkie D's Soup To Go is celebrating five years this week.

Specializing in homemade, fresh soups, they're known across the Great Falls area.

We talked with owner Jenni Paranteau to see how they are dealing with uncertain times amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. She said, "We've been doing good. We have the drive-thru, so that helps us a lot. We have a lot of deliveries through Doordash, we get phone orders which can seem pretty busy, we've been fortunate."

"We actually, before the closure started, we decided to close our lobby area, and at this time, we decided to keep it closed. We're not sure when we're going to reopen it back up. We're just going to kind of play it by ear. And like I said, right now we have the drive-thru open, so we're still doing okay".

"Our fifth anniversary was yesterday. And that was exciting because the restaurant business can be kind of tough. So it was a significant milestone for us. And it's nice to see people that when we first opened that are still coming through our little soup shop five years later, and we've made some perfect friendships, and yeah, it's been exciting".

Porkie D's has been delivering free meals to seniors since before COVID-19 restrictions took effect.
