GREAT FALLS — We have received several reports of a power outage affecting some people and businesses in Great Falls.
All reports have come from the west side of town.

- Samantha Brumbaugh: "Power is out by tilleraas"
NorthWestern Energy confirmed the outage, saying in a Facebook post: "We are experiencing an outage in the Great Falls area. Crews are fixing the problem."
On the NorthWestern Energy "Outage Map" page, the company says that about 1,700 customers are without power: "We are aware of a reported outage. Please contact us if you are out of power." They estimate the power will be restored to all customers by 6 p.m.
There is no word yet on the possible cause of the outage.
