We have received several reports of power outages in Great Falls.

The first reports came in at about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

People are reporting that they have lost power near Longfellow Elementary School; at 9th Avenue South and 9th Street; and 4th Avenue South at 13th Street.

One person told KRTV that traffic lights are not working along parts of 10th Avenue South.

As of 10:40 a.m., NorthWestern Energy's "power outage map" does not show any outages in Great Falls, but the utility company said on Twitter: "We are aware of a power outage in Great Falls . We have a serviceman in route and will restore power as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience."

There is no word yet on the cause of the outage, nor the possible time to restore power.

(UPDATE, 11:37 am) NorthWestern Energy says the outage is affecting between 1,001 and 3,000 customers, and is centered near 9th Street South and 2nd Avenue South. They have not yet released the cause nor the estimated repair time.
