GREAT FALLS — The City of Great Falls has a contract with United Materials for the replacement of water mains on 5th Avenue North and 6th Avenue North from Park Drive to 7th Street North, and on Park Drive from 4th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North.
Starting Wednesday, August 19, Park Drive will be closed to traffic between 4th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North. United Materials will place barricades and detour signs in the area for traffic routing.
They expect the work will take two weeks to complete. Access for Park Plaza Condominiums will be available during construction.

In related news, Central Excavation will be performing storm drain utility work from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, along 9th Street South between 4th Avenue South and 5th Avenue South. The northbound lane of traffic will be closed. The contractor will utilize traffic detours as necessary.
