GREAT FALLS — It’s been 100 years since the 10th Street Bridge was unveiled as an important transportation link in Great Falls.

Preservation Cascade continues to raise money for the safety railings. They’ve raised $250,000 so far, and their goal is $350,000.

Arlyne Reichert, Preservation Cascade president, explained, "Right now, where we stand is they're starting our project. We have until August 20,2020 to get as far as we can with the balusters and the safety railing.

Preservation Cascade hopes to raise the remaining $100,000 through the sale of necklaces ranging in price from $220 to $575; all proceeds will go to the bridge project.

The necklaces are called “Save the Bridge Necklace," and are designed by Claire Baiz, Reichert's daughter. Each 18” necklace features 1/5 carat of genuine Yogo sapphires. Call 406-452-5492 during business hours if you would like to buy one.
