(HELENA) Emergency crews are responding to a large fire near downtown Helena.
The fire broke out just before 1:30 p.m. at Pacific Steel on National Avenue.
The huge plume of black smoke could be seen across much of the area.
Fire teams from Helena, West Valley, and Lewis and Clark Volunteer Fire are among the teams fighting the fire.
Lewis & Clark Emergency Management has asked people to avoid the area as fire crews engage the fire.
There are no reports of any injuries at this point.
