GREAT FALLS — The death of an airman has been announced at Malmstrom Air Force Base.

The death of Airman 1st Class Kenyada Thomas was announced on Wednesday evening on the official Malmstrom AFB Facebook page:

The 341st Missile Wing and Malmstrom Air Force Base are mourning the loss of a fellow Airman. Airman 1st Class Kenyada M. Thomas, a defender with the 841st Missile Security Forces Squadron, was discovered dead on Saturday morning on base. The details of his death are under investigation. “The Malmstrom family is profoundly saddened by this tragedy,” said Col. Jennifer K. Reeves, 341st Missile Wing Commander. “Our priority right now is providing the family members with the support and services they need to work through this difficult time.”

The cause of Thomas' death has not been released, but there are no indications at this time of any foul play.
