MISSOULA — The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office has located the body of 35-year-old Jacob Hogset, who was reported missing on March 6th from Billings.

Mineral County Sheriffs Office and Search & Rescue previously marked off the area from Tarkio west and north to Superior for their initial search.

Over the next few days there were several unconfirmed reports he was in the Superior area, and then was reportedly seen in Kalispell.

The Kalispell Police Department were notified but he was never found.

His car was eventually found behind a gated neighborhood by a caretaker who had been watching the property for the owner.

When the area was searched further his body was found in the Clark Fork River; initial reports indicate that he had fallen off a cliff into the river.

The body has been sent to Montana Crime lab for an autopsy.
