BILLINGS — A man died after his pickup truck rolled on I-90 just around noon Tuesday east of Billings toward Hardin.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Moran says a pickup pulling a trailer was traveling west when the trailer started to fishtail.

The pickup driver lost control and went on to the median and rolled. The driver was thrown from the truck and died at the scene.

The man's name has not yet been released.

The passenger was helped out of the truck by witnesses and was airlifted to a hospital.

Both occupants were men in their 60s; neither were believed to be from Montana. The vehicle was a Dodge pickup truck with California license plates.

Moran says drugs, alcohol, and speed are not suspected as factors in this crash.

The men were not wearing seat belts, according to the MHP.
