GREAT FALLS — Emergency crews responded to a house fire southwest of Armington Junction early Sunday.

Belt Rural Fire Department said in a Facebook post that their team was dispatched to the house fire at 524 Neel Creek Road.

The house, a shop, and all contents were lost.

Firefighters determined that the fire had been burning unnoticed for an unknown amount of time as the house and garage had already collapsed.

There were no injuries and the owners were out of town at the time of the fire.

Responding agencies included Sand Coulee Fire, Malmstrom AFB Fire, Belt Rural Fire, Belt Ambulance, and the Cascade County Sheriff's Office.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated; we do not yet know the dollar amount of damage.
