MISSOULA — A 57-year-old Libby man died in a crash on US Highway 2 on Thursday in Lincoln County.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash happened shortly before 4:45 a.m. near mile marker 45.
MHP reports the victim was driving a van west on US Highway 2 when it went off the road and onto the shoulder.
The van continued for another 190 feet before hitting a tree. The victim was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The MHP is continuing to investigate the crash; the victim’s name has not yet been released.
