HELENA — The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle crash Sunday in Broadwater County at around 10 a.m. that left one man dead.
It happened near Toston, which is south of Townsend along US Highway 287.
The man was in his late 70's; his name has not yet been released.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, speed was a factor in the crash on Toston Bridge. There was snow coming down which made visibility difficult.
Ttroopers have not yet determined which of the three drivers was speeding and lost control.
The other two drivers and a child in the crash were treated for minor injuries.
Roads on Toston Bridge were blocked until about 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
