MISSOULA — A 66-year-old man from Troy died over the weekend after being hit by a car in Lincoln County.
Law enforcement reports that an 18-year-old woman from Idaho was driving north on Montana Highway 56 near mile marker 20 when the victim stepped into the road.
The driver of the vehicle was unable to stop before hitting the man and killing him.
Law enforcement believes the victim was intoxicated at the time and no charges are being filed against the driver.
The name of the man who died has not yet been released.
