Search continues for missing Hardin teen

The search continued Thursday for Selina Shelley Faye Not Afraid, a missing 16-year-old girl who was last seen at a rest stop along I-90 west of Billings.

Law enforcement agencies from Big Horn County and the Bureau of Indian Affairs have set up a command post at the rest area located between Hardin and Billings at mike marker 474.

The family of Not Afraid has been onsite throughout. A person at the site said that they were searching until 1:30 a.m. Thursday with flashlights. Searching continued Thursday morning with a helicopter, horses, and people on foot.



The Montana Department of Justice on Wednesday evening issued a Missing-Endangered Person Advisory for Not Afraid.

She was last seen at 2 pm on Wednesday at the eastbound I-90 rest area. She left a disabled vehicle at the rest area and was seen walking into an adjacent field to the rest area.

The MEPA said that she may have been intoxicated at the time and is not dressed for the weather conditions. She was last seen wearing a black coat, grey sweater, blue jeans, and grey ankle boots.

She is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 133 pounds. She has a scar near her mouth and a tattoo of a cross on her middle finger.
