"Suspicious" death investigated near Hot Springs

(UPDATE, 2:28 pm) Sheriff Bell says that the man who was being held in connection with the death has been released with no charges filed.

The woman has been identified as Keri Anne Allison. Kerri Anne, 39 years old, moved to the Polson area last year and is originally from the area of Marysville, Washington.

Authorities are continuing the investigation to determine the cause and manner of Allison's death.



(1st Report, 9:43 a.m.) Authorities are investigating a death near the town of Hot Springs that happened on Tuesday evening.

Lake County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a business on Camp Aqua Road for a report of an unresponsive woman who was found in a soaking pool at the business.

In a Facebook post, Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said that other customers attempted lifesaving measures, but were not successful, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the death is underway and the body has been taken to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula for autopsy.

Sheriff Bell says a man was taken into custody but no charges have been filed at this point, so his name is not being released.

The name of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family.
