BUTTE — A pickup truck tumbled into the golf course at the Butte Country Club on Monday morning after being involved in a two-vehicle crash.

The pickup truck smashed through a fence and landed upside down on the cart path of the golf course after it was involved in crash with an SUV at the intersection of Elizabeth Warren Avenue and Whiteway.

The man driving the pickup was taken to St. James Healthcare hospital by a relative, and reportedly sustained only minor injuries.

The woman driving the other vehicle was not reported to be injured.

Police say the crash is being investigated; there is no word yet on whether either driver will be cited.
