MISSOULA — University of Montana officials issued an alert Thursday afternoon about a man who was reportedly exposing himself near campus.

An email sent to students says that school officials are investigating reports of a man exposing himself on the practice fields north of campus between the Madison Street bridge and the Van Buren footbridge.

He is said to be white man between 40 and 50 years old with short blond or gray hair and no facial hair. He is believed to be about fix feet tall. He was wearing a large, white overcoat or long shirt with black leg stockings and shoes with no pants.

The alert says the man was last seen heading toward the Clark Fork River.

Officers are searching the area. You are asked to call 911 if you encounter the man or have any other information concerning the incident.
