KALISPELL — A woman died in a crash in the Flathead on Monday morning.
The Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Montana Highway 82 between Somers and Bigfork at 8:13 a.m.
MHP reports the driver of a Buick sedan heading west on Highway 82 lost control on a curve near mile marker 4 and crossed over the center line, and was hit by an oncoming Chevy Suburban.
The Suburban hit the driver-side door of the Buick sedan. The female driver of the Buick sedan died at the scene; her name has not yet been released.
Three occupants of the Suburban sustained serious injuries and were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
MHP Sergeant James Schneider tells MTN News that speed and impaired driving are not believed to be factors in the crash, but there was snow on the road at the time of the accident.
