MISSOULA — A 19-year-old woman died in a vehicle crash on Wednesday east of Missoula.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the woman was westbound on Interstate 90 at around 5:22 p.m., when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and into the area between the on-ramp and westbound lane.
MHP says the vehicle, a Ford Bronco, then went airborne over the on-ramp, landed, and hit a tree near Turah.
The vehicle then caught fire.
The woman died at the scene.
The woman's name will be released from the Missoula County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office once her family has been notified.
MHP says speed is suspected as a factor in the crash.
