David Leroy Claybrooks, 57, of Great Falls passed away on July 3, 2020, in his home unexpectedly.

He was born on November 5, 1962, to Clarence and Addie Mary (Murray) Claybrooks in Nashville, Tennessee.

David moved to Great Falls, Montana in 1998, to be near his wife, Paula Fries and their two children, Marsha and Matthew. David loved his wife, Paula, and children so much. They meant the world to him. Even though Marsha and Matthew were not David’s biological children, you could not tell him any different.

He worked at Skillful Fabrications as a welder in Vaughn, Montana for some of that time. David was well known for being a “Mr. Fix It.” Everyone in the neighborhood knew if they needed a part, information, or a helping hand, that David was more than willing to lend a hand.

His contagious laughter and lighthearted spirit made David a delight to be around. David may not have been rich in materials or money, but he was rich in kindness and generosity. He had a heart of gold, and was always known for doing anything for anybody.
