Gary Elton Good of Stockett, 82 passed away at home from Covid complications and heart problems December 16, 2021. Gary was born to Elton and Doris Good October 25 ,1939. He was raised on the family farm at Floweree, Mt and worked there from a young age but his interests were more toward cattle than farming so after the 8th grade he took a year off from school and spent a winter on his uncle’s ranch on the Teton. His high school years were spent at Dutton MT.

Lynn Curtis was a fellow student at Dutton, and she and Gary dated through much of school. They married in 1958 and soon moved to Cut Bank MT where Gary worked as an oil well pumper and was involved in the trucking business hauling oil. In 1967 they moved to Calvert near Stockett MT, with their two sons Jeff and Chris. They purchased land and a small house here and took up ranching. Gary was very much involved in this business until his death.

He enjoyed the company of his family and friends. When his two sons were little, they could often be found at his side and the same was true of his granddaughters when they came along. He rarely missed a family get together, neighborhood branding, etc. Gary could often be found tinkering in his workshop and was very handy at fixing things. Later in life, he and Lynn were able to travel a little and he enjoyed occasional fishing trips.
