Rob was also the proud grandfather of Dade, Wyatt, Kenzie and Kolter. Also grieving are his aunts, niece and nephews. Rob was predeceased by his father and mother, Earl and Shirley Legg and his sister, Joelyn Slade of Malta, MT.

Rob was born and raised in a small farming community in eastern Montana. After graduating (and foregoing an art scholarship) he went to college in Denver, CO before joining the US Navy where he qualified and graduated from UDT (Underwater Demolitions Team). He then served on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise as an electronic tech.

After his service he and his wife Susan Potter moved to Great Falls to raise their family. Rob worked for the Montana Power company on hydro generation throughout Montana for 20 yrs. After he and Sue divorced and his children were grown, he moved to the Flathead Valley and worked as an electrician at the federal dam at Hungry Horse for 16 years until his retirement in 2013.

Rob married Kerri Atkinson in 2008 and lovingly added a son, Scott (Mikie) Atkinson, and a daughter, Meaghan (Jason) Cenaiko and grandchildren, Dean, Stirling, Faith and Prentice. He also finally got two brothers, Brett McIntosh and Darren (Sue) McIntosh.

In 2015 Rob, Kerri and his faithful dog, Stella moved to Coalhurst, AB so they could be central between all of their children.
