Theodore C. “Ted” Funyak, 87, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the Ivy nursing home from COVID 19.
Ted was born in Stockett, MT on June 20, 1933. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1951. Ted apprenticed and worked as an engraver at Great Falls Engraving for several years before working at Buttrey Foods as a Commercial Arts photographer. He also had a part-time business from home as a free lance photographer. Photographing many weddings and providing commercial arts photography for Worldwide Press. He finished his working years as the Cascade County Animal Control Officer, retiring at the age of 70.
Ted married Darlene “Betty” Aline on June 14, 1958, and they have been married 62 years. They were parishioners of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 54 years until it was closed, and then attended St. Ann’s Cathedral. Ted was very involved with the church and served as a lay minister and donated group photographs to all attending members of Cursillos for over 40 years.
