Update

Granite County has its second COVID-19 case, the county confirmed on Friday evening.

The newest case is directly linked to the first confirmed case on Wednesday.

Granite County has its first confirmed case of COVID-19, the county announced on Wednesday.

The Public County Health Nurse has implemented the contact tracing protocol. No other information was provided on the confirmed case.

Granite County will begin offering state sponsored COVID-19 testing to anyone without symptoms beginning next Wednesday, July 1 in Philipsburg as well as Tuesday, July 7 in Drummond. Testing will be conducted in a drive-through style outside of the clinics.

Drummond clinics will commence on July 7, 14, 21 and 28. Philipsburg's will be every Wednesday and Thursday --, July 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23. Additional days will be added as needed.

Testing will run from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Granite County officials are reminding residents to continue following CDC guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19 such as social distancing, washing your hands, avoiding touching your face and wear masks in public where social distancing is difficult to maintain.
