We track isolated storms developing across North-Central Montana this afternoon.

Highs today top out in the mid to upper 70s.

Isolated stronger storms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening.

By Sunday, we will likely see even more strong to severe thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening.

Sunday holds the best chances for widespread storms with higher chances for severe storms in North-Central Montana.

A ‘slight’ outlook has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center (SPC).

A cold front will push through Sunday which will create enough lift of warmer air into the upper atmosphere for storms to develop.

That- along with upper level wind (shear)- will be enough to set off severe storms, too.

Temperatures through the weekend will hold steady in the upper 70s and low 80s.

After the cold front pushes through Sunday late evening/early Monday morning, another few days of cooler than average temperatures return.
