Did you know our tooth enamel doesn't develop until we are 10 years old?
Permanent damage is possible from when your adult teeth come in, until the enamel is fully developed at age 10.
There are acids in certain foods that can cause serious problems.

We're not going to stop consuming candy, soda and foods with citric acids, so how can we help with the damage?
Eating dairy products like milk, and cheese, or peanut butter, right after we consume citric acids can help.
These will raise the pH levels and help neutralize the mouth. Also, look for the ingredient, xylitol, in gum, which helps protect tooth enamel.
