Man shot by woman during "physical fight" in Billings Saturday

BILLINGS — Billings Police are investigating a shooting where a 33-year-old Billings man was shot in the abdomen by a 37-year-old Billings woman inside a Billings residence on the 1700 block of Lake Elmo Drive at 6:50 a.m. Saturday, according to a police tweet.

"The male was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries," the tweet read.

The shooting happened inside a residence during a "physical fight" between the man and the woman, according to the tweet.

The weapon used was a pistol, Billings Police Sgt. Shane Winden told MTN over the phone.

All parties involved have been detained. No charges have been filed and the investigation remains ongoing.
