A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for much of North Central Montana until 10 PM Thursday evening.

This includes Broadwater, Meagher, Judith Basin, Cascade, Choteau, Fergus, Blaine, Phillips, and Valley counties.

Severe storms are possible, with winds as high as 70 miles per hour, and hail as large as ping pong balls.

Strong storms are possible even away from the watch area.

Storms are already developing, and will continue into the evening.

In general, storms will follow a northeasterly track through the area.

Stay up to date with the weather, and be prepared to take shelter should severe weather approach your area.

We’ll keep you updated on air and online.
