GREAT FALLS — Benefis Health System announced on Thursday that it is planning to expand its health-care services to Helena by opening a freestanding clinic that will offer primary and specialty care services.
Benefis plans to use land where the former Capital Hill Mall used to be located. The land was originally supposed to be part of the Montana Heritage Center, until the center decided on a new site.
In a news release, Benefis CEO John Goodnow said he is looking forward to "expanding access to the exceptional care [Benefis] provide[s]."
“As health care leaders in the state, we want to provide the best care possible to more Montanans, and this purchase is an exciting step toward fulfilling that goal,” he said.
Eventually, Benefis hopes to expand the clinic to include an outpatient surgery center.
