BILLINGS — Big Horn County officials announced on Thursday four new positive COVID-19 cases.
These four new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in Big Horn County to eight. Six of those cases are active. The county also has seven pending tests.
So far, 225 residents of Big Horn County have been tested for COVID-19; seven tests are pending results at labs; 210 test results were negative; eight test results were positive, with two patients recovered.
A Big Horn County official confirmed the new cases to MTN News on Thursday evening. No other details about the patients have been released.
These new cases bring Montana's total cumulative number COVID-19 cases to 466. As of Thursday night, these new cases have not yet been added to the state's COVID-19 database.
On Monday, the Big Horn County Health authorities confirmed the county’s fourth case, a woman in her 20’s. In response, the mayor of Lodge Grass, Quincy Dabney, ordered the town back under lockdown.
The Crow tribe, which covers wide swaths of Big Horn County, extended its stay-at-home order Wednesday to June 15.
