Missoula County reports 24 new cases of COVID

MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) an additional 24 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since the Tuesday update.

The number of active COVID-19 cases has fallen from 242 on Tuesday to 223.

The number of confirmed cases in Missoula County stands at 7,563 including 7,262 recoveries and 78 deaths.

There currently 12 COVID-19 related hospitalizations including seven county residents.

The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has dipped from 33 on Tuesday to 30.

The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

The Board of Health announced on Jan. 21 that there will be an easing of several of the COVID-19 restrictions in place for Missoula County.

Missoula County Public Schools released details for moving into the second phase of its reopening plan on Jan. 18.

Missoula County health officials announced on Jan. 14 that plans are in place to move to Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccinations.
