Montana reports no new COVID-19 cases for 5th consecutive day

The state report Tuesday showed no new COVID-19 cases, marking the fifth consecutive day without a reported new confirmed case.

But Yellowstone County health officials reported Tuesday morning a COVID-19 related death . The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map did not reflect the death in the Tuesday report.

A woman in her 80s died Monday of COVID-19 related complications, Yellowstone County health officials said. The death marks the third in Yellowstone County and the 17th COVID-19 related death statewide.

The number of cases reported by the state remains at 479. MTN is reporting one fewer total cases and one fewer recovered cases due to a case in Jefferson County that local health authorities report involved a patient who was not in the state.

The number of recoveries also remained at 441, and there remain 22 active cases in the state. Three people remain hospitalized.

The number of tests increased by 152 in the previous 24-hour reporting period, with the total tests now at 33,834.
